The Night Car Craft Came To Town

June 4, 2005. One magazine. One drive in.  Hundreds upon hundreds of cars.

I knew it was going to be crowded...  on the one hand I was surprised there wasn't a backup of traffic on the way in, even though I didn't hit the road until 5:00.  But on the other hand... parking was an adventure!  The only annoying thing about a cruise in like this is 75% of the cars doing the cruising were granny cars, soccer mom SUV's and wing n' sticker posers... at least for the first couple of hours.  Once the posers and looky loo's went home, the cruising picked up quite a bit.

The usual suspects were in attendance, including the 4x4 crowd that had a blast all night trying to instigate engine revving, burnouts, and tossing out free commentary for the wing n' sticker posers and the low riders.  "Hey! A mechanic can fix that for you!"

These folks were actually waiting in the endless line to get food (something I still have yet to do at The Suds)... but I call this one "Admiring the Line Up."  I don't know what you're admiring, but you better stop before your wife smacks you for staring at it too long.

Of course only a select few get to park actually at The Suds.  I never have gotten around to asking if it's by invitation or if it's first come, first serve.
